  • Earth Bermed - Dirt is placed against the exterior concrete walls with a conventional roof that is super insulted.

What are the requirements of the proper construction of an earth-sheltered/bermed house?

  • Properly structurally engineered
  • Properly water-proofed to keep moisture and associated ills out
  • Have adequate natural lighting to make it a desirable place to live
  • Properly position thermal breaks to keep exterior temperatures wicking into the interior concrete walls.
